Doris E. Long, a retired nurse and former president of the Maryland Rebekah Assembly, died of cancer Saturday at a daughter's Millersville home.
Services for Mrs. Long, who was 67 and a resident of Northeast Baltimore, will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Singleton Funeral Home, 1 Second Ave. S.W., Glen Burnie.
She retired in 1987 as a visiting nurse for the Baltimore County Health Department, a job she'd held since 1972, when she completed the program for registered nurses at the Essex Community College. Mrs. Long, who was fond of sewing, needlework and travel, also belonged to the Concordia Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Towson Women of the Moose. The former Doris E. Koehnlein was a native of South Baltimore and a graduate of Southern High School.
