KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Reliever Mike Flanagan tried not to take it too personally. He was only one of a series of Orioles pitchers to find that the 1927 Yankees had been reincarnated for yesterday's game at Royals Stadium.

2 Royals fourth: Mayne grounded out to shortstop

C.Ripken. Conine walked. Koslofski singled to left, Conine to second. Howard walked, Conine to third, Koslofski to second. On Mills' wild pitch, Conine scored, Koslofski to third, Howard to second.
