Business-to-business Expo '92 deadline
The deadline to reserve booth space at the Anne Arundel Business-to-Business Expo '92 is Aug. 26.
Sponsored by the Anne Arundel Trade Council and the Chamber of Commerce for Anne Arundel County, Expo '92 will feature space for 136 exhibits including new business mini-booths available to companies that have begun operation since Jan. 1, 1990. The expo is scheduled for Sept. 18.
County creative packaging seminar
A "Creative Packaging Seminar" will be presented by the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Conference and Visitors Bureau from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the BWI Marriott Hotel in Linthicum.
The seminar will show attendees how to create new, exciting opportunities for group tour leaders and tour operators.
The program will include a tour of unique and interesting areas of the county.

Commerce business connection
The West Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a Business Connection from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Piney Orchard Parkway in Odenton.
Organized by Piney Orchard Ice Arena, special guests will include a player from the Washington Capitals and vice president and general manager David Poile, who is the honorary chairman of the chamber's membership campaign.

Trade Council power breakfast
The Anne Arundel Trade Council will have its next Power Breakfast Network from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Wednesday at Wayson's Corner Restaurant, in Lothian.
The program will begin with breakfast and informal networking. Participants can make their own three-minute table presentations covering personal introductions, company products/services and client base.

Fedder leases county properties
The Fedder Company, a real estate development and management firm based in Glen Burnie, has recently been involved in several leases in the county.
Fedder agent Frances Kingsbury worked with the tenant and landlord on five leases in July, leasing 756 square feet to Juana Dickerson and 1,353 square feet to Commercial Credit at Southgate Marketplace in Glen Burnie; 1,574 square feet at Belle Grove Industrial Park to Yong Paek of K&P Clothing; and 2,024 square feet each to Fred Flood of Precision Scale and S. Daniel at Crain Commerce Center in Glen Burnie.
Joel Fedder, principal of the company, was the agent in leasing 1,470 square feet to The Recovery Center at Overlea Shopping Center in Baltimore.
Promo's leased 2,100 square feet at Overlea Shopping Center with the help of Bob Pollokoff, who represented both the landlord and tenant in the transaction.
First quarter Second Nat'l earnings
Second National Federal Savings Bank announced sales of foreclosed commercial and residential real estate properties totalling over $33.5 million for the first six months of 1992.
Current sales have surpassed the bank's goal of $1 million per week or $50 million for 1992.
Second National is a 1.6 billion financial institution with offices in Washington, D.C., Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland, including an office in Annapolis.
UNC reports improved earnings
UNC Inc. reported significantly improved earnings for the second quarter and first half of 1992.
Net earnings in the second quarter were 90 percent higher than last year's quarter while first-half earnings were 73 percent higher than the 1991 period. Sales for the second quarter of 1992 were $87.6 million, compared with $87.2 million in the second quarter of 1991.
Haefner Advertising wins account
Richard Haefner Advertising, an Annapolis advertising agency, recently added Fuller Auto Park in Easton to their list of clients.
The advertising firm will handle retail advertising for the auto park's entire line of Honda, Volkswagen, Subaru, Volvo and Lincoln/Mercury cars.
A leading automobile dealership on the Eastern Shore, Fuller draws customers from areas as far away as Washington, D.C., Annapolis, Baltimore and Delaware.
