Aug. 22: Maryland Saltwater Sportfishermen's Association first annual Offshore Tournament at the Marlin Club in Ocean City. Entry fees required, added entry skill levels available. Cash prizes for marlin, tuna, dolphin/mackerel, bluefish. Call (410) 768-8666.

Sept. 3: 34th Annual White Marlin Tournament at the Ocean City Marlin Club. Call (410) 289-6363 on Mondays and Thursdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.


Sept. 3: Registration for Maryland hunter education course at Baltimore County Game and Fish, 4300 Northwind Road, 4-7:30 p.m. Classes to be held Sept. 9, 10, 16, 17 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. and Sept. 19 from 8 a.m. to noon. Call (410) 557-7140.

Oct. 29-Nov. 6: J-24 World Championship regatta, played host to by Severn Sailing Association and the Eastport Yacht Club in Annapolis.
