Baltimore City

THEFT: Central District -- A resident of the 1600 block of McCulloh St. told police she was visiting a friend in the 1800 block of McCulloh St. last night when someone entered the dwelling and stole her portable TV set. Police said the property was valued at nearly $140. A suspect was being sought.

ROBBERY: Central District -- A man with a handgun accosted a woman yesterday evening as she walked near her home in the 200 block of Robert St. and ordered her to give up her jewelry. Police said the gunman escaped with seven gold rings and two gold chains. Police said the value of the jewelry was not available.

THEFT: Central District -- A resident of the 100 block of W. Madison St. reported she was visiting a friend in the 1000 block of St. Paul St. yesterday afternoon when someone stole her 10-speed mountain bicycle. The victim told police the bike, valued at more than $100, was parked in a hallway outside her friend's third-floor apartment when it was stolen.

THEFT: Central District -- A Virginia resident told police that while his car was parked in the 100 block of W. Lombard St. yesterday evening someone stole a cargo carrier attached to a roof rack. Police said a sharp instrument was used to cut the straps holding the carrier, which contained several pieces of property.

THEFT: Central District -- Someone entered an office in the first block of N. Liberty St. yesterday and stole a TV set and a radio valued at nearly $500.

THEFT: Central District -- A resident of the 900 block of Bridgeview Road in Cherry Hill reported that someone broke a window of her car yesterday while the vehicle was parked in the first block of N. Liberty St. and stole several bags of groceries. The victim told police the groceries were valued at more than $200.

THEFT: Central District -- A Ruxton woman told police someone broke a window of her 1983 Mercedes-Benz while the vehicle was parked in the 500 block of N. Charles St. last night and stole a carrying bag containing property valued at $500.

ASSAULTS/ARRESTASSAULTS/ARREST: Northeastern District -- One man was arrested and two people injured last night in a house in the 1600 block of Northgate Road. Shortly before 11:30 p.m., Officer William Furlong Jr. was reporting for duty when he saw a man stagger and fall onto the police station parking lot, several blocks from Northgate Road. The injured man was taken to Maryland Shock-Trauma Center for treatment of multiple lacerations of the face. An investigation revealed he and a woman were attacked by a man at the Northgate Road residence. The woman was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital for injuries. Police arrested a suspect and were holding him at the Eastern District pending assault and deadly weapon charges.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 2800 block of Lake Ave. reported that someone broke a window of his 1992 Chevrolet truck while it was parked this week near his home and stole nearly $1,500 worth of tools.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Property valued at nearly $400 was stolen from an apartment in the 2400 block of Bridgehampton Drive after someone entered through a rear bedroom window. Police said the break-in occurred between Monday and yesterday.

SHOOTING: Southern District -- A resident of the 1500 block of McHenry St. was shot late Wednesday night in the 300 block of S. Parrish St. Police said the victim was standing outside a car around 11 p.m. when the driver pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the back. The car sped off. Police said the victim was admitted to the University of Maryland Medical Center. His condition was not available.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 3400 block of Reisterstown Road reported that someone entered her home and stole more than $100 from her purse.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- Someone broke into a public storage locker in the 5800 block of Reisterstown Road and stole several pieces of property. The owner of the property, a resident of the 2400 block of Etting St., told police the property was valued at more than $5,000.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone broke into a house in the 3800 block of Towanda Ave. and stole property valued at nearly $900. Police said the burglar used a ladder to enter the house.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 4800 block of Cordelia Ave. reported that someone forcibly entered her home and stole property valued at nearly $1,300.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- The occupant of an apartment in the 2900 block of Garrison Boulevard reported that someone entered her home while she was out and stole property valued at nearly $400.

THEFT: Northern District -- A resident of the 1000 block of Witherspoon Road reported that someone entered the back yard of her home and stole a lawn mower, weed cutter and two large plastic trash cans. Police said the property was valued at more than $200.
