Baltimore City

ROBBERY: Eastern District -- A pizza deliveryman was robbed of $20 Saturday night by a gunman who accosted him in the 1900 block of N. Chester St. The deliveryman, an employee of Vizzini's pizza in the 200 block of N. Highland Ave., had gotten out of his car around 10:30 p.m. to deliver a food order when he was stopped.

ROBBERY: Eastern District -- A resident of Glen Burnie was robbed of $25 by a gunman in the 1000 block of N. Broadway shortly before 4 a.m. yesterday.

ROBBERY: Eastern District -- An out-of-town resident reported being robbed of $20 yesterday afternoon after two men pulled him from his car in the 2300 block of Ashland Ave. and beat him.

SHOOTING: Eastern District -- A Baltimore County man was shot in the left leg early yesterday by one of two men who accosted him as he left a party in the 1000 block of E. Eager St., demanding his money. Police said as the man turned to flee, he was shot. The gunman and his accomplice fled. The shooting victim was admitted to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment.

SHOOTING: Eastern District -- An East Baltimore man was shot in the left leg while standing in the 1200 block N. Caroline St. early yesterday by one of two men who drove by in a Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Another bullet shattered the windshield of a car driven by an Essex woman. The man was admitted to Johns Hopkins Hospital, and the woman drove herself there for treatment before being released.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 6000 block of Ready Ave. reported that someone broke into her home over the weekend and stole a purse containing a wallet from the kitchen. Police said the burglar escaped with cash and property, all valued at $40, and that entry was gained by forcing a rear door.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone broke into a house in the 300 block of E. University Parkway over the weekend and stole property valued at more than $400. Police said entry was gained by removing a metal grate from a third-floor window. Taken was a VCR, camera and a cassette player.

ASSAULT: Northern District -- Police today were seeking a man who cut a Baltimore Highlands man with a broken bottle during an incident inside a house early yesterday morning. Police said the victim, a resident of the 3800 block of McDowell Lane, was taken to a hospital for treatment and released.

ASSAULT: Northern District -- A resident of the 4600 block of Pall Mall Road told police she was asleep early yesterday when she was awakened by a man who told her he wanted to touch her. The woman told police the man was armed with a handgun and that he fled when she cried out.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A gunman robbed an out-of-town man of more than $200 in the 2500 block of Loyola Southway around 8 p.m. Saturday.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A lawn mower and a compact disc player, both valued at more than $300, were stolen from a dwelling in the 2900 block of Wyman Parkway over the weekend.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Two men walking in the 2900 block of Greenmount Ave. were robbed of their money yesterday evening by two men, one armed with a handgun. Police said one victim, a resident of the 1100 block of Montpelier St., was robbed of $25. His companion, a resident of the 2700 block of The Alameda, was robbed of $5.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 5700 block of The Alameda reported that someone broke into his home through the basement door and stole two TVs valued at nearly $700.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone broke into a garage in the 5000 block of Boxhill Ave. over the weekend and stole a 10-speed bike worth more than $100.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 1000 block of St. George's Road reported that someone entered her home yesterday evening and stole $45 in cash from the laundry room.

RAPE TRY: Northeastern District -- A 31-year-old woman

reported early yesterday morning that a man who said he was an undercover police officer tried to rape her. The woman told police she was in East Baltimore around midnight Sunday when she accepted a ride with a man who said he was a policeman working undercover. The woman reported that when the man drove to the 3200 block of Whitman Drive near Lake Montebello and stopped, he pushed her down on the car seat and tried to rape her. She said that when she fought the man off, he opened the car door and pushed her out onto the ground. She described the man as black, wearing a tan shirt and glasses. Police said the woman was not injured.
