Yeager has enlisted
Dustin L. Yeager, son of David and Kay Yeager of Joppa, enlisted in the delayed enlistment program of the U. S. Air Force.
Dustin, a 1989 graduate of Fallston High School, is scheduled to begin basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
According to Sgt. Allen Lipscomb, the Air Force recruiter, Mr. Yeager will earn credits toward an associate degree in applied sciences through the Community College of the Air Force upon completion of basic training and Technical Training School.

Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class David H. Watson, son of Darlene Weatherstein of Bel Air, recently participated in the commissioning ceremony of the USS George Washington at Norfolk Navy base, Va.
The 1988 graduate of Bel Air High School joined the Navy in September 1988.
Weeks at academy
Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer Peter Weeks, son of Charles D. and Marijane Weeks of Aberdeen, recently graduated from the Senior Enlisted Academy at the Naval Education and Training Center, Newport, R.I.
The 1977 graduate of Aberdeen Senior High School joined the Navy in May 1978.
Martin at ceremony
Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class John M. Martin, son of John W. and Deonic Martin of Bel Air, recently participated in the commissioning ceremony of the USS George Washington at Norfolk Naval Base, Norfolk, Va.
The Navy's newest aircraft carrier, the USS George Washington, will carry 6,000 men, including embarked airwing personnel, and will deploy approximately 80 aircraft. The carrier was built at Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Co. and will be home-ported in Norfolk.
Martin, a 1988 graduate of Bel Air High School, joined the Navy in July, 1988.
Heisterman on carrier
Navy Seaman Donald C. Heisterman, son of Donald G. and Donna J. Heisterman of Street, recently reported for duty aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington, home-ported in Norfolk, Va.
Marine Pvt. David J. Plagemann, son of Army Maj. and Mrs. David J. Plagemann of Aberdeen, recently completed the Basic Engineer Equipment Operators Course.
The 1991 graduate of Edgewood High School joined the Marine Corps in November 1991.
Lawrence in Baltic
Navy Chief Petty Officer Leland R. Lawrence, son of Elaine E. Lawrence of Aberdeen, recently deployed to the Baltic Sea aboard the guided missile cruiser USS Yorktown, home-ported from Norfolk, Va.
Petty Officer Lawrence visited the Russian city of Severomorsk, headquarters to the Russian Northern Fleet. It was the first visit ever by an American warship to this Russian city, located 180 miles north of the Arctic Circle.
On leaving Severomorsk, USS Yorktown and other U.S. Navy forces conducted an unprecedented combined exercise with the Russian navy called Operation Northern Handshake. This exercise included communications drills, formation maneuvers and an exchange of personnel.
The 1979 graduate of Aberdeen High School joined the Navy in September 1980.
Cliffe new recruit
Marine Pvt. Michael J. Cliffe, son of Michael and Susan M. Cliffe of Edgewood, recently completed recruit training. He is a 1991 graduate of Edgewood High School.
