Writers sought

August 09, 1992

The Howard County Sun is looking for correspondents to cover news in five of our communities.

These positions are new to the newspaper and the initial step in expanding our commitment to the neighborhoods of the county. We are looking for correspondents in the Columbia, Ellicott City, Savage and western county areas.

The job involves reporting and writing a weekly column about the activities of non-profit organizations and your neighbors.

Community correspondents will work from their homes and will write and submit their stories by personal computer. Applicants should be willing to spend about six to eight hours each week on the job and should be actively involved in their communities.

If you are a resident of one of those communities, like having contact with your neighbors and have a flair for writing, we would like to hear from you.

All applicants should submit a resume and samples of their writing to the Howard County Sun, 3300 North Ridge Road, Ellicott City, MD, 21043.

For more information, call Lee Horwich at 461-9595.
