R. Virginia Seward Managed cafeteria

R. Virginia Seward, who retired as Padonia Elementary School's cafeteria manager, died of cancer Tuesday at her home on West Padonia Road in Cockeysville.

Services for Mrs. Seward, who was 77, will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Lemmon-Mitchell-Wiedefeld funeral home, 10 W. Padonia Road.

She retired seven years ago after working at the school for 16 years. Earlier, she operated a snack bar at the Padonia Park Club.

The former R. Virginia Lee was a native of Baltimore and attended what is now the Notre Dame Preparatory School.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Sigmond S. Seward; two sons, Sigmond L. Seward of Towson and Raymond R. Seward of Baltimore; and four grandchildren.
