City man arrested on drugs charge
An Annapolis man was charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute it after county police, acting on a tip, stopped his car on Interstate 97 near the city line Friday night.
According to police, officers were told that Marion D. McFarland, 45, of the 1000 block of Cedar Ridge Court in Annapolis, would be carrying a large amount of cocaine.
Police stopped Mr. McFarland at 10:25 p.m. and searched his car.
Fort Meade firm robbed at gunpoint
A gunman robbed a Fort Meade pager company Saturday afternoon, county police reported.
Police said a 25-year-old man walked into the CarTel Inc. store in the 3400 block of Fort Meade Road at 2:40 p.m. and said he wanted to buy a pager.
As the clerk was filling out the paper work, the man asked for change for a dollar and the clerk walked to the cash register in the rear of the store.
The robber followed him, produced a gun and demanded money. He took a cash box and left.
Police charge 3 in store robbery
County police have charged three Baltimore residents with robbing a Royal Farm store in Orchard Beach early yesterday morning.
Baltimore police arrested John Timothy Bush, 31, of the 5200 block of 6th Street; Mark Douglas Sullivan, 35, of the 4600 block of Virginia Avenue; and Bridget Donathan, 24, of the 900 block of Church Street shortly after investigators charged that they robbed the convenience store in the 8400 block of Fort Smallwood Road.
At 2:25 a.m. yesterday, detectives said, a man walked into the store, told the clerk that he had a gun and demanded all the money.
He was seen leaving the store in a car with a man and a woman.
City officers stopped the trio on Curtis Avenue.
Armed pair robs Linthicum restaurant
Two men robbed a Linthicum fast-food restaurant Friday night after herding the employees into a rear office, county police reported.
Investigators said the men ordered food at Wendy's, in the 700 block of Nursery Road, and sat in the dining room for about an hour before one pulled a gun and demanded money from the manager.
The robbers ordered all the employees in the store to the back office before taking the money from the cash register and fleeing.
Police described both suspects as black men in their early 20s.
One man was said to be about 5 feet 5 inches tall with a medium build and short hair. He was wearing black sweat pants and a gray hooded sweat shirt. The other man is about 5 feet 9 inches tall and was wearing a black nylon running suit.
Annapolis teen raped in Eastport
A 17-year-old Annapolis girl reported that she was raped Saturday night by a friend of her former boyfriend, city police said.
The girl said she met her former boyfriend and a group of his friends at the corner of Severn Avenue and 6th Street in Eastport that evening.
The group went to a nearby apartment, where she said an 18-year-old man forced her to have sex, according to a report she filed with the city police Sunday.
