Glen Burnie man beaten with bat

A Glen Burnie man was in good condition Friday after two men beat him with a baseball bat and robbed him as he walked along Kempton Road Thursday night.

Police said the 39-year-old man was near the intersection with Route 648 at 9:50 p.m. when two men walked up to him from behind and demanded his wallet.

They hit him several times with a baseball bat and took his wallet with $35 in it, police said. The robbers were seen running into the Valley Brook apartment complex.

Woman assaulted in Freetown Village

A 38-year-old Baltimore woman was robbed in Freetown Village Thursday night.

County police said the woman approached two men at 4:50 a.m. and told them that she wanted to buy a $50 rock of crack.

One of the men went to a house on New Freetown Road and came out a few seconds later without the crack, police said. As the woman turned and walked away, one man hit her and took her money.


2100 block of Aberdeen Drive: July 29, entry gained through the door. Money taken. Total loss: $529.
