Ethnic America to be topic

Towson Unitarian Universalist Church, 1710 Dulaney Valley Road, will conduct a series of services about ethnic America at 10 a.m. on Sundays in August.

Native American issues and traditional values will be discussed this Sunday by Bob Gajdys, a Mohawk who is director of the Community Assistance Network in Essex.

Rose Robinson, a Hopi from Arizona, will discuss "Native America after 500 years" on Aug. 9.

A Latin American series begins Aug. 16, followed by a talk on "liberation theology Aug. 23 and a discussion of Euro-American relations Aug. 30.

Fund-raising

The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore hopes to raise $22.5 million in its 1993 campaign.

Top leaders for the campaign include Barbara L. Himmelrich and Arnold I. Richman, Annette B. Cooper, Morton J. Macks, Benjamin Kuntz, Linda Himmelrich, Jeffrey Picker, Enid Brecker, Michael Lapides, Robert A. Manekin, Rosalee Davison and Richard Davison.

Baptisms

The House of Prayer Church of God and the Apostolic Faith Church of God Inc. will hold annual baptizing services at 3 p.m. Aug. 9 at historical Trueman's Point Landing in Eagle Harbor on the Patuxent River.
