Baltimore City

THEFT: Southern District -- Members of the Maryland Stadium Authority reported yesterday that between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. Monday someone entered a skybox at Oriole Park at Camden Yards and stole two VCRs valued at nearly $1,000. It was not known who leases the skybox and who owns the property.

THEFT/ARREST: Southern District -- Police responding to a shoplifting at the Rite-Aid pharmacy in the 2100 block of W. Patapsco Ave. yesterday arrested a man who attempted to leave the store without paying for non-prescription medicine. Police said the man was being held at the station pending charges and a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 5000 block of Chalgrove Ave. reported that someone broke into his van while it was parked in front of his home between Monday night and yesterday morning and stole several cases of ice cream. Police said the ice cream was valued at $1,000. Police said the victim sells ice cream, soft drinks and snacks from the vehicle.

ASSAULT: Northwestern District -- Police today were seeking a man in the assault of a woman in her home. The victim told police the man grabbed her during an argument Monday night and struck her in the face with his fist. Police said the man fled before police arrived and that the woman was not seriously injured.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 2800 block of Waldorf Ave. reported that someone forced his way into his home early yesterday and stole a TV set. Police said the property was valued at more than $300.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Employees of Mary Ann Plus, a clothing store at the Mondawmin Mall, told police someone stole nearly $50 worth of apparel from their store between Monday night and yesterday morning by placing a pole-like device with a hook on it through the openings of a security grate and snagging clothing from a display rack.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Police reported that someone broke into the Traco Service Co. in the 3800 block of W. Cold Spring Lane early yesterday and stole two chain saws.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the first block of S. Fulton Ave. reported that someone forced his way into her home through a door and stole several pieces of property. Police said the value of the property was not known.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Police reported a deliveryman for Vizzini's pizza in the 900 block of Leeds Ave. was making a delivery in the 5200 block of Frederick Ave. Sunday night when he was stopped by two men, one armed with a handgun, who demanded his money. Police said the gunman and his accomplice fled with about $50.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 8100 block of Old Mill Road in Pasadena reported that someone broke into a public storage locker she rented in the 3400 block of Wilkens Ave. and stole $2,000 worth of furniture.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Employees of Mike's Carryout in the 3200 block of W. North Ave. reported that someone broke into their building yesterday morning by forcing a door and stole cash and cigarettes. Police said the property was valued at nearly $1,000.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 1600 block of N. Ellamont St. told police he was in the 1800 block of Bloomingdale Road yesterday afternoon when he was stopped by a man who forced him to give up his money. Police said the man escaped with more than $60.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Jewelry valued at more than $1,000 was stolen from an apartment in the 2800 block of Oakley Ave. after someone forced a door. Police said the intruder made off with a gold ring, three gold bracelets and three necklaces.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 2300 block of Barclay St. told police she was standing in the 400 block of E. 25th St. about 3 a.m. yesterday when a man pushed her from behind and stole her wallet. The woman told police the wallet contained more than $300.

THEFT: Northern District -- Someone broke into a 1981 Buick while it was parked in the first block of Brackenridge Court between Monday night and yesterday morning and stole property valued at $300. The owner of the car, a resident of Florida, told police the thief stole several pieces of clothing and other personal items.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone broke into a dwelling in the 4200 block of St. George's Ave. and stole property valued at more than $600. Police said someone kicked in a door and stole an 18-inch gold chain and an 8-inch gold bracelet.

THEFT: Northern District -- Police said jewelry valued at nearly $2,800 was stolen from a house in the 900 block of Evesham Ave. Police said someone entered the bedroom and stole two diamond rings and an onyx ring.
