Art Place to present performance work

Maryland Art Place will present "Diverse Works," an original collaborative performance work with Baltimore area performers at 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 218 W. The New York Times has called Ms. Champagne "a leading exponent of performance art." She fashions large-scale theater pieces where the real and surreal, past and present converge.

Theatre auditions

Theatre Hopkins will hold its annual open auditions Sunday and Monday evening at the Merrick Barn on the Hopkins Homewood campus. Actors should bring a prepared audition piece, a

resume and photo. Adult actors of all age ranges are encouraged to audition. For appointments, call (410) 516-7159.

Auditions for "Babiesbreath," a new play by Kenneth F. Hoke-Witherspoon, will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Theatre Hopkins barn. There are parts for three Caucasian females, two African-American females and one Caucasian male. The play will be performed in November in Washington. For details, call (410) 467-1324.
