Wild, rabid cat bites four people

July 22, 1992

A wild, rabid cat bit four people in Harford County, prompting county health and animal control officials to warn residents to be sure their pets have been vaccinated against the potentially fatal disease.

Pamela Arney, an animal control officer trying to trap the wild cat, was among those bitten Monday outside Fallston Mall, in the 2200 block of Belair Road.

An autopsy showed the cat had rabies.

Ms. Arney and the three others who were bitten are undergoing injections to combat the disease.
