Pizza deliveryman wounded in robbery

July 22, 1992

A 33-year-old Pizz-A-Boli's deliveryman received a superficial gunshot wound to the back of his head yesterday when a holdup man opened fire on him during a robbery, Baltimore police said.

Unser Ikbaal of the 5900 block of Western Run Drive had just delivered a pizza to a home in the 2200 block of Linden Ave. when the gunman demanded his money at 1:15 p.m., police said.

Mr. Ikbaal refused to give him the money, and the gunman fired two shots at him, one of which grazed his scalp, police said.

Mr. Ikbaal fell to the ground and the robber took an undisclosed amount of money from his pockets. Mr. Ikbaal was treated at University of Maryland Medical Center and released.
