National defense contracts
International Business Machines Corp. in Gaithersburg won a $54,658,339 contract from the Air Force to design software in support of the Operations Control System, located at Falcon Air Force Base, Colo., to enable the control, command, and monitoring of the Block IIR Global Positioning System satellites.
Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Linthicum won a $12,407,000 contract from the Air Force for various components, data, and technical orders applicable to the APG-68 radar for the F-16C/D aircraft.
Israel Military Industries in Chevy Chase won a $3,139,775 contract from the Army for ammunition and explosives.
Scientific Technology Inc. in Gaithersburg won a $1,684,240 contract from the Navy for passive microwave radiometry services.
Turnbull Enterprises Inc. in Baltimore won a $259,530 contract from the Defense General Supply Center for special-purpose aluminum chairs.
Booz, Allen and Hamilton Inc. in Bethesda won a $233,862 contract from the Army to provide Theater Missile Defense Survivability Enhancement Options.
Defense research contracts
Westinghouse Airships Inc. in Linthicum won a $3,500,000 contract from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency for an operational demonstration model airship program.
Eastport International Inc. in Upper Marlboro won a $331,502 contract from the Army to provide tactical unmanned ground vehicle design studies.
Robotic Systems Technology in Hampstead won a $256,299 contract from the Army to provide tactical unmanned ground vehicle design studies.
Martin Marietta Aero and Naval Systems in Glen Burnie won a $59,013,858 contract from the Navy to provide training support and services.
International Data Products Corp. in Gaithersburg won a $37,674,000 contract from NASA for Intel code-compatible products including personal computer workstations, peripherals and software.
The Orkand Corp. in Silver Spring won a $26,407,844 contract from the Centers for Disease Control to provide data programming and other related services.
I-Net Inc. in Bethesda won a $15,000,000 contract from the Defense Supply Service to provide data processing support.
Storage Technology Corp. in Silver Spring won an $11,489,253 contract from the Army Information Systems Selection and Acquisition Agency for robotic tape libraries.
W. M. Schlosser Co. Inc. in Hyattsville won a $10,283,850 contract from the General Services Administration to renovate the federal courthouse in Baltimore.
Jack H. Kidd Associates Inc. in Baltimore won a $2,632,000 contract from the U.S. Coast Guard to upgrade mechanical shops at the Coast Guard Yard in Curtis Bay, Baltimore.
Eastport International Inc. in Upper Marlboro won a $1,522,319 contract from the Navy to provide underwater work systems.
University of Maryland Agricultural Experiment Station in Queenstown won a $1,310,292 contract from the Army to evaluate biomonitoring systems to assess contaminated waters and sediments at Army installations.
Capitol Contractors Inc. in Tuxedo won a $1,059,000 contract from the Army for cooling plant repairs at the U.S. Army Adelphi Laboratory Center in Adelphi.
Hudak's Insulation Inc. in Baltimore won an $899,030 contract from the U.S. Naval Academy to remove asbestos and reinsulate the U.S. Naval Academy and U.S. Naval Station in Annapolis.
United Book Press in Baltimore won an $864,408 contract from the U.S. Government Printing Office for book printing.
Prime Computer Inc. in Rockville won an $803,900 contract from the Department of Justice to provide computer maintenance.
Oles Envelope Corp. in Baltimore won a $719,171 contract from the Government Printing Office for messenger envelopes.

McDonald & Eudy Printers in Temple Hills won a $449,995 contract from the Government Printing Office to print books and maps.
Union Light and Power Co. in Silver Spring won a $449,740 contract from the Department of Energy to renovate stand-by power generation systems for DOE headquarters.
RTKL Associates Inc. in Baltimore won a $455,543 contract from the Smithsonian Institution for a master coordination plan study for heating, ventilation and air conditioning, and electrical improvements in the Arts and Industries building.
AAI Corp. in Cockeysville/Hunt Valley won a $356,608 contract from the Air Force to provide depot maintenance logistic support.
Photo Science Inc. in Gaithersburg won a $303,364 contract from the Department of Agriculture for photogrammetric mapping.
