Police charge 3 with drug possession

Three North County men face drug and weapons charges after police confiscated liquid PCP from their car early Thursday morning.

Investigators said they received an anonymous tip that three men were coming through the Lake Shore area with a load of PCP that they intended to sell.

At 9 a.m., investigators spotted the men on Lake Shore Drive and stopped them. Police searched the car and a cooler and found a large glass jar partially filled with PCP-treated parsley flakes. They also found a vanilla extract bottle containing liquid PCP. Street value of the PCP is $520.

Officers say they also seized a cross-bow with arrows.

William Joseph Plummer, 28, of the 6300 block of S. Orchard Road in Linthicum; Keith William Horton, 27, of the 7600 block of Quarterfield Road in Glen Burnie; and Raymond Edward Knapp, 24, of the 1600 block of Tieman Drive in Glen Burnie all were charged with possession of PCP with the intent to distribute.

2 painters injured as scaffold breaks

Two painters were critically injured Thursday evening when the scaffolding supporting the ladder they were standing on collapsed and they tumbled into a parking lot.

County police said Victor Pierre, 44, and Victor Hernandez, 32, both of Washington, were painting the Sear's store in the Maryland City Shopping Center on Route 198, when the scaffolding gave way.

Both men were in critical condition Friday at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center at University Medical Center in Baltimore, police said.

City police chase wanted motorcyclist

Annapolis police chased a motorcyclist who was wanted for a traffic violation for several miles through the historic district and Eastport Thursday night before catching him.

Elliot Nudell, of the 300 block of State St., was charged with fleeing and eluding police and several traffic violations, police said.

A police officer said he noticed the motorcyclist swerve into the left lane and cross a double yellow line to pass a pedicab on Compromise Street shortly before midnight. The motorcyclist took off, leading the officer on a chase through downtown Annapolis before he was caught at 6th and Severn streets, police said.
