CANTON, Ohio -- The Hagerstown Suns swept a doubleheader from the Canton-Akron Indians by scores of 4-1 and 3-2 yesterday to knock the Indians out of first place in the Double-A Eastern League.
Brian Wood (2-1) got the win for the Suns (44-48) in game two, while Indians pitcher Bill Wertz (7-1) was handed his first loss of the season. Tim Holland scored the winning run in the top of the seventh inning off a swinging bunt by Damon Buford.
