Baltimore City

BURGLARY: Northern District -- The Inns of Evergreen store in the 2500 block of W. Belvedere Ave. was broken into early yesterday. About $150 in property was stolen, police said.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police said a stove, rug and sink were among the many items reported stolen from a vacant residence in the 3000 block of Independence Ave. between May 15 and July 15.

THEFT: Northern District -- A woman was adding fluid to the radiator of her car in the 1100 block of E. Northern Parkway yesterday afternoon, police said, when two men grabbed her purse from the front seat. The estimated value of the purse's contents is $941.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone kicked in a basement door of a home in the 2400 block of Christian St. last night and took an undetermined amount of property, police said.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- The basement door of TC residence in the 500 block of Longwood St. was kicked in yesterday morning and an unknown amount of property was taken, police said.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- More than $1,600 in tools and telephone equipment was stolen from the Topnotch Woodworks store in the 200 block of Franklintown Road Tuesday night. Police said someone broke into the tool closet to get to the property.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone kicked in the back door of a home in the 200 block of S. Louden Ave. yesterday morning and took $25, police said.

ATTEMPTED SHOOTING: Northwestern District -- A man armed with a handgun fired a shot at a resident of the 4100 block of Hayward Ave. while the victim was walking in the 2900 block of Garrison Blvd. early yesterday. Police said the gunman was with another man. The victim was not injured, police said.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Chain saws valued at $500 were stolen from the Traco Service Co. in the 3600 block of Cold Spring Lane early yesterday. Police said burglars pried open a rear door of the business.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A woman was robbed of $300 just before midnight Tuesday as she used an automatic teller machine in the 6500 block of Reisterstown Road, police said.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A man armed with a gun took $238 from the Wash-N-Dry laundromat in the 4200 block of Glengyle Ave. yesterday afternoon. Police said the man entered the business and ordered an employee to hand over the money. The robber fled on foot.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A woman from the 3500 block of Wabash Ave. was robbed of her hand weights as she stood in the 2900 block of N. Hilton St. yesterday morning. Police said the woman was approached by two men. One put a sharp object to her back as his accomplice took the weights. Police recovered the weights a few blocks away. Apparently, the men grew tired of carrying the stolen property and dropped it, police said.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Property with an estimated value of $1,085 was stolen from a man as he walked down the 2200 block of Westbury Ave. last night. Police said two men approached and one man threatened the victim with a gun. Both fled on foot.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A man riding his bicycle in the 4300 block of Pimlico Road last night was assaulted by another man who struck him and then rode off on the bike, police said. The bike was valued at $112.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A man armed with a handgun robbed a resident of the 3500 block of W. Northern Parkway of $2 in the 3400 block of Virginia Ave. last night, police said.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- About $800 in property was stolen from the O'Brecht and Sons storage trailer in the 1900 block of Portal St. Police said someone pried the locked bar from the side of the trailer early yesterday.

THEFT: Southeastern District -- A $400 mountain bicycle was stolen from in front of a home in the first block of S. Potomac St. yesterday afternoon. Police said the bike was unattended and unlocked.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- A resident of the 600 block of N. Milton Ave. was approached from behind by two men and robbed at gunpoint yesterday morning as she walked down the street. The men took her jewelry and fled to the 2700 block of McElderry St, where they were arrested.

BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- A $659 air conditioner was stolen from a residence in the 2400 block of E. Fayette St. Police said someone kicked in the front door and broke the lock while the home was unoccupied over the past few days.

ATTEMPTED RAPE: Southeastern District -- A 16-year-old boy was arrested last night after forcibly taking a girl to his house in the 200 block of Chester St. and trying to rape her, police said.

ASSAULT: Southeastern District -- Two men were arrested on assault charges yesterday afternoon after a man in the 200 block of N. Curley St. was struck with a car door. Police said the victim's elbow was seriously injured.
