North County cheerleaders shine

July 16, 1992

North County High School's junior varsity cheerleading squad attended the National Cheerleaders Association's Camp earlier this month at UMBC.

The camp was attended by 380 cheerleaders from more than 30 squads. North County brought home two "Superior" ribbons, one "Excellent" ribbon, the NCA "Game Day Award," and an NCA "Spirit Stick," which goes to teams that show outstanding sportsmanship, spirit and enthusiasm.

Chris Moseley, captain of North County's varsity cheerleading squad, attended the camp with the junior varsity team and was among eight campers chosen as an NCA All-American Cheerleader.
