Baltimore City

ASSAULT: Eastern District -- A 37-year-old woman was treated at the Francis Scott Key Medical Center early yesterday after a woman she was arguing with hit her on the head with a baseball bat. Police said the argument and attack took place in the 1900 block of Pearlman Place.

BURGLARY: Eastern District -- A television set worth an estimated $1,000 was stolen from an unoccupied residence in the 1600 block of Llewelyn St. Monday afternoon, police said.

ASSAULT: Eastern District -- A 38-year-old man was struck in the head with a bottle Monday night as he walked down the 1600 block of Barkley St., police said.

ASSAULT: Eastern District -- Two juveniles attacked a man in the 1500 block of E. Oliver St. and beat him with their fists and a cane about 8 p.m. Monday. The victim received minor bruises and lacerations, police said.

BURGLARY: Eastern District -- A 30-year-old man broke into a store in the 900 block of N. Broadway Monday afternoon, but he was arrested, police said, before taking anything.

BURGLARY: Eastern District -- Police said someone broke into an office of the Atlas Machine Co. in the 2100 block of Kennedy Ave. Monday night. Nothing was taken and no arrests have been made.

THEFT: Northern District -- More than $500 in property was stolen from an unoccupied convertible car in the 4400 block of Roland Ave. last night, police said.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police said someone entered the back door of a residence in the 3200 block of Guilford Ave. Monday night and stole property valued at $587.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A Yellow Cab Co. driver was robbed of $37 at gunpoint early yesterday by a man who had called for service. Police said the passenger pulled a gun and threatened the driver in the 2100 block of Huntington Ave. Police said they later made an arrest.

THEFT: Northern District -- Police said someone broke into the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen in the 5200 block of N. Charles St. Monday night and stole a bronze candle holder valued at $520.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A man was robbed of $220 yesterday afternoon by two men in the 2900 block of Matthew St. Police said that as one man got out of a car and approached the victim the other man punched him in the face.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A man pretending to have a gun took $160 from a woman last night in the 5600 block of The Alameda as she was using an automated teller machine, police said.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A man with a handgun took a gold chain valued at $250 from a man in the 2900 block of Oakford Ave. last night, police said.

THEFT: Northern District -- Police said someone stole a box with stamps, cash and parking permits from an office at Johns Hopkins University in the 3400 block of N. Charles St. yesterday afternoon. The contents of the box had an estimated value of $465.

THEFT: Northern District -- A purse with more than $500 in it was stolen from behind a cash register of a store in the 900 block of W. 36th St. last night, police said.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A man threatening the use of a handgun robbed a family at their home in the 4500 block of Edmondson Ave. yesterday afternoon. The robber fled with $392, police said.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Two men beat and robbed a man in the 700 block of N. Augusta Ave. yesterday morning. They fled after taking the victim's cigarettes and $38, police said.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Three men robbed a man of $85 yesterday morning in the 600 block of N. Hilton St. The men threatened him with bodily harm if he did not give them his money, police said.

THEFT: Southeastern District -- Police said someone broke into a home in the 700 block of Rutland Ave. yesterday and stole a handbag containing several identification cards.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- A man with a handgun robbed a woman of her purse in the 200 block of N. Belmar Ave. yesterday. The purse contained $250, police said.

THEFT: Southeastern District -- Nearly $400 was snatched from a woman's hand as she walked away from an automated teller machine in the 2200 block of E. Monument St. yesterday, police said.

THEFT: Southeastern District -- Nine toys valued at $538 were stolen from a back yard in the 6500 block of St. Helena St. yesterday. Police believe the thieves may have been children.

BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- About $900 in property was stolen from an unoccupied home in the 3000 block of E. Monument St. Monday morning by someone who entered through the kitchen door, police said. The homeowner arrived as the burglar was leaving and chased him, but the man escaped.

BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- A man was arrested yesterday morning in the theft of an undetermined amount of property from Sports Express clothing store in the 2300 block of E. Monument St.. Police said the man broke a window to enter.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- A 47-year-old woman was knocked to the ground and her purse stolen Monday night in the 2500 block of E. Monument St., police said.
