Lepp gets commission

Army Cadet Christopher D. Lepp was commissioned a second lieutenant and awarded a bachelor's of science degree during graduation ceremonies at the U.S. Military Academy, West Point.

The academy, a four-year educational institution, trains young American to become professional Army officers.

The lieutenant is scheduled for assignment to the Field Artillery Branch at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.

Lieutenant Lepp is the son of Robert and Doris Lepp of Bel Air.

He is a 1987 graduate of Bel Air High School.

Lipscomb to Australia

Army Spec. Jeffrey S. Lipscomb has left for Australia's Northern Territory to participate in Kangaroo '92.

United States military joined with Australia's in a combined training exercise.

Specialist Lipscomb, a tactical transport helicopter mechanic, is the son of David M. and Margaret Lipscomb of Bel Air.

The soldier graduated from Bel Air High School in 1988 and received an associate's degree in 1992 from Harford Community College.
