Baltimore City

SHOOTING: Southern District -- A resident of the 4000 block of Massachusetts Ave. was listed in critical condition today at the Maryland Shock-Trauma Center after being shot several times last night in the 3400 block of Round Road in Cherry Hill. Police said they knew of no motive for the shooting of Edward Smith, who was found in the street by police responding to a report of a shooting about 9:30 p.m.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- A deliveryman man for Judy's Carryout in the 1100 block of Haverhill Road told police he was making a delivery in the 1500 block of Lemon St. about 10 p.m. yesterday when he was stopped by two men, one armed with a handgun, who demanded his money. Police said the victim handed over more than $100 to the gunman and his accomplice, who fled on foot.

THEFT: Central District -- An out-of-town resident reported that someone broke into her car yesterday evening while the vehicle was parked in the 600 block of E. Pratt St. and stole a bag containing more than $100 worth of clothing.

ROBBERY: Central District -- A resident of the 2700 block of W. Fairmount Ave. reported he was walking in the first block of E. Read St. shortly before midnight yesterday when he was stopped by a man armed with a handgun who ordered him to give up his wallet and jewelry. Police said the gunman escaped with cash and jewelry.

ROBBERY: Central District -- Police said a man armed with a handgun accosted a resident of the 1700 block of St. Paul St. as he walked in the 800 block of Guilford Ave. early today and ordered him to turn over his wallet. Police said the victim complied, giving the gunman at least $60.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Police reported that someone broke into a garage in the 500 block of Mulberry St. yesterday and stole two 14-inch tires. Police said the tires were valued at $100.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Members of the Try Jesus Deliverance Temple Church in the first block of E. 20th St. reported that someone broke into their building early yesterday and stole property valued at about $1,000.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a teen-age boy yesterday evening and charged him as a juvenile with aggravated assault. Police said the youth and a resident of the 1400 block of Mosher St. were fighting in the 1900 block of Harlem Ave. shortly after 6 p.m. when the victim sustained a broken arm. Police said the injured youth was taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released. After being charged, the teen-ager was released into the custody of his parents pending action by juvenile authorities.

THEFT: Western District -- A resident of the 800 block of W. Saratoga St. reported that three men, one known to her, entered her home about noon yesterday and stole her food stamp card.

THEFT: Western District -- Police reported that someone stole a bicycle from behind a house in the 1000 block of W. Fayette St. The owner of the bike, a resident of the 1000 block of W. Fayette St., told police it was valued at $50.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the first block of N. Ellamont St. reported he was walking in the 200 block of N. Hilton St. late Wednesday night when he was accosted by two men in their 20s, one armed with a handgun, who ordered him to give up his money. Police said the victim complied, giving the gunman and his accomplice more than $100.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Police reported a resident of Edmondson Village was walking in the 4300 block of Woodridge Road Wednesday night when she was stopped by a man armed with a handgun who demanded she give up her money. The victim, a resident of the 4100 block of Mountwood Road, told police she gave $20 to the gunman, who fled on foot.

SHOOTING: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 700 block of Edgewood St. was admitted to a hospital Wednesday night after someone shot him in the right leg while he was walking along Denison Street. The victim, Keith Canty, told police he was in the 700 block of Denison St. about 11 p.m. when he was accosted by a man armed with a handgun who shot him in the leg. Police said they knew of no motive for the shooting and had made no arrest.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Police reported that jewelry valued at more than $1,000 was stolen from a dwelling in the 500 block of N. Longwood St. after someone gained entry through a rear door later Wednesday night.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 700 block of N. Hilton St. reported that someone broke into her home Wednesday and stole property valued at nearly $300.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A woman who lives in the 800 block of N. Dukeland St. reported Wednesday that while walking in the 800 block of Poplar Grove St. July 1 she was stopped by a man armed with a handgun who forced her to give up her money and property. Police said the woman complied, giving the gunman cash and jewelry valued at $200.
