Gunman holds up Pasadena motel

A gunman robbed a Pasadena motel Tuesday night, county police reported.

Detectives said the robber walked into the Motel 6 in the 5100 block of Raynor Blvd. at 8 p.m., showed the clerk his gun and demanded all the money in the cash register.

The clerk handed over the money and the robber left, police said.

Police described the gunman as white, 6 feet 1 inch tall, with a slim build. He was wearing a yellow hat, white shirt and pink shorts.

65 pot plants seized, Pasadena man held

A Pasadena man was charged with manufacturing marijuana after police confiscated 65 plants from his home early yesterday morning.

According to the police report, officers were called to a home in the 8000 block of Maywood Ave. at 3:30 a.m. for a domestic dispute.

When they arrived, they found the plants growing in pots in the backyard.

Michael Joseph Byrne, 26, of that address, was taken to Eastern District to be charged.

Woman is robbed at Odenton station

A 47-year-old woman was robbed Tuesday night at the Odenton train station, police reported.

Investigators said the woman was in the underground stairway of the station on Odenton Road at 8 p.m. when a robber grabbed her by the neck and took two bags out of her hand. The woman screamed and ran up the steps.

The robber was last seen running into a wooded area, police said.

The woman described her assailant as a white man, about 5 feet 9 inches and 150 pounds. He had shoulder-length brown hair and eyes.

6400 block of Lacrosse Lane: June 30, entry gained through a door. Unknown property taken.

100 block of Southbridge Drive: July 2, entry gained though a window. Money taken. Total loss: $827.
