This is a weekly summary of selected prime contracts recently awarded by the federal government to companies and other vendors in Maryland.

Maryland contracts

National defense contracts

Martin Marietta Aero and Naval Systems in Glen Burnie won a $9,885,300 contract from the Navy to provide systems support for the TB-16/BQ series towed arrays, TB-29 array/receiver and related sonar equipment.

Westinghouse Airships Inc. in Linthicum won a $3,500,00contract from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency complete a critical design review of the ODM airship.

Epoch Engineering Inc. in Gaithersburg won a $1,579,74contract from the Navy to provide on-site maintenance services for surface ship sonar equipment.

Knight Protective Service in Capitol Heights won a $321,000 contract from the Defense Mapping Agency to provide security services.

Bohdan Associates Inc. in Gaithersburg won a $174,452 contracfrom the Navy to provide codenet equipment.

Defense research contract

User Systems Inc. in Chesapeake Beach won a $293,992 contract from the Goddard Space Flight Center to provide research and development related to the SAR support program.

Non-defense contracts

Allied-Signal Aerospace in Baltimore won a $33,848,745 contract from the Federal Aviation Administration to provide precision runway monitor, electronic-scanned secondary surveillance radars.

William V. Walsh Construction in Rockville won a $6,797,37contract from the General Services Administration to provide repairs.

ROW Sciences Inc. in Rockville won a $1,995,580 contract frothe Department of Health and Human Services to provide comprehensive animal care.

Storage Technology Corp. in Silver Spring won a $1,800,00contract from the Army to provide robotic tape libraries and associated software, documentation, maintenance and training for the Army Information Processing Centers.

Fedserv Industries Inc. in Waldorf won a $987,480 contract frothe Navy to provide maintenance and support services for various naval station buildings at the Philadelphia Naval Base.

Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Cockeysville won a $931,15contract from the Air Force to provide an AZ-EL power amplifier.

Whitman, Requardt & Associates in Baltimore won a $750,00contract from the General Services Administration to provide architectural and engineering services in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Biomedical Research Inc. in Rockville won a $426,769 contracfrom the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development to provide a center to store, monitor and distribute samples of biological fluids.

Colonial Equipment Co. in Mount Airy won a $371,566 contracfrom the General Services Administration to provide trucks.

Compus Services Corp. in Rockville won a $295,838 contracfrom the National Institutes of Health to provide data processing equipment and support services.

General Physics Corp. in Columbia won a $273,087 contract frothe U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission to provide refresher training courses.

D-M&S Inc. in Woodstock won a $246,848 contract from the Navto repair pavement in various locations at the Annapolis Detachment, Carderock Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center in Annapolis.

Diplomat Limousine & Livery Service in Beltsville won a $230,05contract from the National Institutes of Health to provide shuttle services.

Facilities Management Co. in Lanham won a $177,840 contracfrom the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide parking management and services at the HUD building.

Welch & Rushe in Capitol Heights won a $137,830 contract frothe Navy to partially replace a steam main and condensate return system at the Annapolis Detachment, Carderock Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center in Annapolis.
