DRUG ARRESTS: Southwestern District -- Members of the district's drug enforcement unit early today arrested 10 men on various drug charges, following a lengthy undercover operation. It was not immediately known if any drugs were seized during the arrests. Police said the charges ranged from possession of heroin, hashish, marijuana and cocaine to possession with intent to distribute the drugs and conspiracy to violate the state's narcotic laws. Arrested in the 3000 block of W. North Ave. were Dennis Thompson, 44, of the 2800 block of Baker St., and Arkey Richardson, 27, of the 200 block of S. Dallas Ct. Mr. Richardson, police said, was ordered held in lieu of $50,000 bail. Peter Flum, 23, of the 300 block of Furrow St., was arrested in the 2000 block of Frederick Ave. Later, Mr. Flum was released on his own recognizance. Arrested in the 500 block of Yale Ave. was Ronald Wilson, 18, of the 5100 block of Sunset Road. Police said Mr. Wilson also had been charged in a warrant with failing to appear for trial in an unrelated incident. Eric Thompson, 18, whose home address was not available, was arrested in the 3300 block of Winterbourne Road. Arrested in the 2100 block of Hollins St. were Freeman Edwards, 18, of the first block of N. Abington St., and Brian Williams, 18, of the Hollins Street address. Police said Gregory Fisher, 22, of the 1900 block of Wilkens Ave., was arrested in the 2100 block of Boyd St., and that Charles Oliver, 20, of the 100 block of Palormo Ave., was arrested in the first block of S. Hilton St. Demeone Suggs, 20, of the 700 block of McCabe Ave., was arrested in the 2500 block of W. Pratt St. Hours after their arrests, all of the men, with the exception of Mr. Flum and Mr. Richarson, had not appeared at a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner. Police said those arrested were described as street dealers and that some of them were loosely connected with each other. They said more arrests were expected.

ROBBERY: Central District -- A resident of the 900 block of Robert St. reported she was in the 1800 block of Pennsylvania Ave. about 6:30 p.m. yesterday when she was approached from the rear by one man and from the front by another. Police said that before the woman could escape, one of the men grabbed her gold necklace. Police said the men escaped and that the jewelry was valued at $200.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Police reported that someone broke into a dwelling in the 1700 block of Druid Hill Ave. yesterday between 2 and 9 p.m. and stole a TV. Police said the value of the property was not immediately known and that entry was gained through an unlocked door.

LARCENY: Northern District -- Police said someone broke into a 1990 Suburu yesterday morning while the vehicle was parked in the 5500 block of Midwood Ave. and stole property valued at $700. The victim, also a resident of the 5500 block of Midwood Ave., told police the thief stole a stereo amplifier, speakers and several coins.

THEFT: Northern District -- A resident of the 2800 block of St. Paul St. reported that after she left her purse on the front porch of her home yesterday afternoon someone stole it. The victim told police that the purse contained cash and property, all valued at several hundred dollars.

THEFT: Northern District -- Police said someone broke into a 1991 Toyota while it was parked in the 200 block of Goodale Road between Tuesday night and yesterday afternoon and stole property valued at $500. The victim, who lives on the same street, told police a car phone was stolen.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Police reported a woman was robbed of her purse yesterday after getting off an MTA bus in the 2800 block of Greenmount Ave. The victim, a resident of the 800 block of E. 30th St., told police she was walking down the street after getting off the bus at 7 p.m. when a man approached her from the rear and stole her purse. Police said the man escaped with cash and property, all valued at $300.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 1200 block of Union Ave. reported that someone broke into his home Monday and stole property valued at nearly $250.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police reported a house in the 2400 block of Kenoak Road was broken into Tuesday afternoon by someone who stole property valued at more than $700. Police said entry was gained through a window.

THEFT: Northern District -- A resident of the 13400 block of Jarrettsville Pike in Baltimore County reported that while his car was parked in the 4400 block of Millbrook Road Tuesday afternoon someone broke into the vehicle and stole property valued at more than $1,100. Police said the thief entered the car by breaking a window.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police said lawn-care equipment valued at more than $300 was stolen from a garage in the 4400 block of Greenway over the weekend.
