ASSAULT/ARREST: Northwestern District -- Police arrested a man and were holding him at the station pending aggravated assault charges in an alleged threat to kill a woman in her home in the 4300 block of Pimlico Road. After police arrived, the woman told them the man pulled a handgun and threatened to shoot her. Police opened a briefcase the man was carrying, found a handgun and arrested him. Police said the man was expected to be charged with assault by threatening, illegal possession of a handgun and aggravated assault.

ROBBERY/ARREST: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 4200 block of Reisterstown Road reported she was walking near her home early yesterday when she was approached from the rear by a man who stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at more than $300. Later, police arrested a man and were holding him at the station pending charges and a bail hearing before a district court commissioner.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Police reported that a resident of the first block of N. Smallwood St. was getting into his car in the 4300 block of Pimlico Road about 3 a.m. yesterday when he was approached by two men, one armed with a .45-caliber semiautomatic handgun, who robbed him of cash and property, all valued at more than $1,000.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Police reported a woman was assaulted and robbed yesterday afternoon in the elevator of a building in the 6100 block of Park Heights Ave. Police said the victim, a resident of the 3600 block of Clarks Lane, was standing inside the elevator shortly after 1 p.m. with a man when he struck her in the face and stole her purse. Police said when the elevator door opened, the man shoved the woman to the floor of the elevator and escaped. Police said the woman was not injured.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- Officials of the Red Cross in the 4700 block of Mount Hope Drive reported that someone entered one of their offices between Monday and yesterday and stole a fax machine. Police said the machine was valued at more than $1,000.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 6600 block of Vincents Lane told police that while he was moving from his former residence in the 4100 block of Patterson Ave. early last month, a man he knows who was helping him move stole his automatic bank teller card and address book. Later, the victim learned that more than $100 was withdrawn from his bank account when someone used the card.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- Police said a warrant was expected to be issued for the arrest of an employee of the Mary Ann shop, a clothing store in the 5700 block of Reisterstown Road, who allegedly stole nearly $2,000 and checks that were to have been deposited in a bank. Police said the employee failed to deposit the receipts last week and is being sought.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 2900 block of Violet Ave. reported a man he knows entered his house Monday afternoon and stole a 13-inch TV set and a 6-inch TV set. Police said the property was valued at more than $300 and that the TV sets may have been pawned by the man for money to buy drugs.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Police reported a resident of the 5700 block of Jonquil Ave. was leaving the 7-Eleven store in the 5500 block of Park Heights Ave. last night and walking across the parking lot when he was approached from the rear by two men who demanded his money. When the victim resisted, police said the men knocked him to the pavement and robbed him of nearly $200.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 4400 block of Groveland Ave. reported that someone broke the lock on his outdoor storage shed between Monday night and early yesterday and stole a lawn mower and several tools. Police said the property was valued at nearly $1,000.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- The manager of Fashions for Less, a clothing store in the 6700 block of Reisterstown Road, told police a woman entered the store over the weekend and left without paying for a dress valued at $400.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 3200 block of Glen Ave. reported that someone forced his way into his home yesterday and stole a turquoise sweat suit and a baseball uniform.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police said property valued at more than $200 was stolen from an apartment in the 2200 block of Pinewood Ave. Monday after someone entered the dwelling using a key. Police said a man the victim knows is being sought.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 5900 block of Wright Ave. reported that someone broke a window of his car over the weekend while the vehicle was parked near his home and stole a pair of stereo speakers. Police said the property was valued at more than $150.
