Board seeks members

Three at-large positions on the Animal Matters Hearing Board are available.

The seven-member citizens advisory organization makes recommendations on the control, collection, care and custody of animals and is empowered to hold hearings regarding the welfare of animals.

Members are appointed by the County Executive and are confirmed by the County Council. They serve overlapping five-year terms, meeting the third Tuesday of each month.

Financial disclosure is not required.

Applicants should send a resume or letter of interest describing their professional and personal experience in animal matters by July 15 to Gail Bates, Executive Office, 3430 Courthouse Drive, Ellicott City, Md. 21043.
