Graduate wins award

John P. Harrison, a recent graduate of South Carroll High School, is the winner of the 1992 DeKalb Agricultural Accomplishment Award.

The award, sponsored nationwide by DeKalb's Plant Genetics Division, is presented to a senior ag student who demonstrates superior scholarship and leadership.

Harrison is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John I. Harrison of Woodbine.

He was the president of the South Carroll FFA chapter for the past two years and has studied various livestock and mechanical projects.

He plans to work on his family's farm, Twin Ponds Farm.

Harrison received a pin and certificate and his name will be inscribed on a plaque displayed in the school lobby.

DeKalb, based in DeKalb, Ill., is an international researcher, producer and marketer of corn, sorghum, soybeans and alfalfa seed.
