Baltimore City

THEFT: Southeastern District -- A resident of South Carolina reported that while his car was parked in the first block of S. Front St. over the weekend someone broke the side window of the vehicle and stole a suitcase containing several pieces of clothing. Police said the combined value of the clothing and suitcase was $500.

BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- Police reported that someone forced his way into a house in the 2800 block of Orleans St. between June 4 and yesterday and stole a gas stove. Police said the appliance was valued at more than $100.

THEFT: Southeastern District -- A resident of the 600 block of S. Lakewood Ave. reported his truck was parked in front of his home over the weekend when someone broke into the vehicle and stole property valued at nearly $1,000. Police said entry was gained through the vehicle's rear sliding window.

THEFT: Southeastern District -- A South Front Street man reported to police that someone broke into his car over the weekend while the vehicle was parked near his home and stole property valued at nearly $160. The victim told police he spotted a man inside his car Saturday night but that the thief escaped before he could detain him.

THEFT: Southeastern District -- Police said property valued at $500 was stolen out of a car over the weekend while the vehicle was parked in the 800 block of S. Front St. The owner of the car, a resident of New Jersey, told police entry was gained by breaking one of the vehicle's rear windows.

THEFT: Southeastern District -- A resident of the 300 block of S. Macon St. reported that someone forced his way into his car yesterday morning while it was parked in the 4600 block of Bank St. and stole a hand-held police scanner. Police said the property was valued at $300.

ASSAULT: Southeastern District -- Police said a resident of the 500 block of N. Curley St. was near his home early yesterday when a man urinated on him. Police said an argument broke out between the two men and the victim was hit over the head with an ax handle. Police said the other fled. The victim was not seriously injured, police said.

THEFT: Southeastern District -- A resident of the 500 block of S. Luzerne Ave. reported that someone entered the back yard of his home yesterday morning and stole four pieces of patio furniture. Police said the furniture was valued at more than $100.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- Police reported a resident of the 600 block of N. Kenwood Ave. was riding his bicycle near his home Saturday evening when he was assaulted by two men who knocked him off the bike and stole it. Police said the bike was valued at nearly $200.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- A resident of the 100 block of N. Collington Ave. reported he was walking near his home Saturday night when he was assaulted by two men who robbed him of $80 in cash. Police said the victim was not injured and that the two men escaped.

THEFT: Southeastern District -- Police said several hand tools and a 5-inch TV were stolen out of a pickup truck over the weekend while the vehicle was parked in the 2000 block of E. Fayette St. The victim, also a resident of the 2000 block of E. Fayette St., told police the property was valued at nearly $500 and that entry into the truck was by removing part of the cap.

CUTTING/ARREST: Southeastern District -- Police arrested a man yesterday and were holding himat the station pending charges in the cutting of a female resident of the 100 block of N. Colvin St. Police said the victim, Lolene Wright, also of the 100 block of Colvin St., was cut on the left arm with a knife by the man during an argument early yesterday. After charges, the man was expected to appear at a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner. Police said the woman was not seriously injured.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- A resident of the 3000 block of Dudley Ave. reported he was in the 1600 block of E. Pratt St. early yesterday when he was attacked by a man who struck him in the face and robbed him of his wallet. Police said the man escaped with about $50.

THEFT/ARREST: Southeastern District -- Police responding to the 2700 block of E. Fayette St. early yesterday arrested a man who started a construction company's steam roller that had been parked at a construction site and moved it several feet. Police said the steam roller was not damaged and did not strike any other objects. Police said the man was being held at the police station's lockup pending charges and a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

THEFT: Western District -- A resident of the 3200 block of Auchentoroly Terrace reported that someone broke into his car while the vehicle was parked in the 1800 block of Wilson Ave. over the weekend and stole his wallet. The victim told police the wallet contained nearly $100.
