Butler joins Gardner

The Gardner Group, trading as General Business Services Inc., a Severna Park based business consulting firm and tax accounting firm, has announced the affiliation of Elizabeth B. Butler.

As an associate, Butler will be responsible for small business tax accounting and business counseling.

Butler is a member of the Junior Achievement for Central Maryland, Ambassador for the Greater Annapolis Chamber of Commerce, vice chair of membership for the Anne Arundel County Trade Council and State Council president for Financial Women International.

Butler has over 11 years of Private Banking experience.

Picked for sales, service

Theodore Wessel, FIC (fraternal insurance council), of Severn, recently was selected to attend a national sales and educational conference sponsored by Aid Association for Lutherans.

Wessel qualified to attend the conference based on outstanding sales and service to AAL members during 1991. Since joining the association's staff in 1989, Wessel has qualified twice for the national conference.

He is an associate of the James Gibbons Agency of AAL, Ellicott City.

2 top office producers

Ed Kipp and Chris Murchake were recognized as the Top Producers for the Annapolis office of Shannon & Luchs Realtors in May.

Compared to figures for 1991, the office with the help of Kipp and Murchake increased total sales by 17 percent, total dollar volume by 10 percent and total listings by 5 percent in 1992.

Electrolysis Certification

Owners of Arnold Electrolysis Center, Breda Freeberg and Lorraine Goldberg, recently earned certification status from the International Board of Electrologist Certification.

The rigorous certification process sets a high standard of practice that exceeds the state's licensing requirements. Both electrologists are also licensed through the state of Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

Operating partner

Frank Ferrogine recently bought out Annapolis Volvo Subaru's previous partner and has become Operating Partner in the business.

Ferrogine moved to the area in 1971 and attended the University of Baltimore. He entered the automobile business in 1975 and has owned used car businesses since 1979.

After leaving his position as general manager of Village Import Cars in 1991, Ferrogine became general manager of Annapolis Volvo Subaru.
