Two airlines are scheduled to offer direct propeller plane service from Baltimore-Washington International Airport to Toronto beginning in July.
RTC No direct service is available between the two cities now.
USAir Express will inaugurate non-stop service from BWI to Toronto July 1, pending approval by the Canadian government.
The service will start with two daily round-trip flights, then expand to four round-trip flights Aug. 1. The flights will be operated by Henson Aviation, a USAir subsidiary, and will use 37-passenger deHavilland Dash 8 planes.
USAir offers jet flights from BWI to Montreal and Ottawa.
Air Ontario will offer direct service beginning July 6 with three round-trip flights during the week and two round-trip flights a day on weekends. The carrier also will use Dash 8s.
