Baltimore City

THEFT: Northern District -- A resident of the 7600 block of Carla Road in the Pikesville area reported that someone stole his 10-speed bike Monday night after he secured it by chain and lock to the limb of a tree in the 2100 block of Kelly Ave. Someone stole the bike by cutting the tree limb.The bike was valued at more than $300.

THEFT: Northern District -- Police said someone entered a house in the 700 block of Belgian Ave. early yesterday morning and stole a wallet, cash, a gold watch with a diamond, credit cards and a cook book, all valued at more than $700.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Police reported that someone forced his way into a parked 1982 Suburu in the 2700 block of Fenwick Ave. yesterday morning and stole cash, food stamps and several pieces of clothing, all valued at nearly $900.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 5900 block of Daywalt Ave. reported that someone broke into his car near his home between Monday night and Tuesday morning and stole stereo radio equipment valued at more than $600.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 2800 block of Roselawn Ave. reported that someone broke into his parked 1988 Chevrolet van near his home over the weekend and stole nearly $1,000 worth of hand and power tools.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- A 67-year-old patient at the Veterans Administration Hospital in the 5600 block of Loch Raven Boulevard reported that someone stole his credit card and used it to charge $8,000 worth of merchandise over a period of time. Police said the card probably was stolen between June 14 and 16. No arrest had been made.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Someone broke into an apartment in the 5200 block of Eastbury Ave. over the weekend and stole a safe, cash and a gold watch, all valued at nearly $2,000.

BREAK-IN: Northeastern District -- Employees of Allied Building Products in the 500 block of North Point Road reported that someone broke into their warehouse through a window between June 20 and June 22 and stole an unknown sum of money after breaking into a soda machine.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Property valued at nearly $1,200 was stolen from a dwelling in the 4700 block of Shamrock Ave. Monday. Police said someone gained entry through a basement window and escaped with a TV and a VCR.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 500 block of N. Carrollton Ave. reported that someone broke into his home yesterday and stole a TV and a gallon of roach spray.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Police reported a resident of the 2000 block of N. Payson St. was walking in the 2400 block of N. Monroe St. around 3 p.m. yesterday when he was accosted by two men, one with a handgun. Police said the gunman placed the weapon in the man's back and demanded he give up his property. The victim handed over a pager, a gold ring and a gold watch, all valued at nearly $300.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 2100 block of Pennsylvania Ave. was walking near his home yesterday when he was attacked by a man who knocked him to the pavement and robbed him of nearly $100 in cash.

SHOOTING: Western District -- Kevin Lewis, of the 2300 block of Druid Hill Ave., was in the 700 block of Gold St. last evening when a gunman fired several shots at him, one of which struck him in the head. The victim was in good condition today at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

SHOOTING: Western District -- Steven Tillman, of the 2800 block of Riggs Ave., was listed in critical condition today at the Maryland Shock-Trauma Center after he was shot yesterday afternoon during an incident near his home. Police said a man with a handgun approached Mr. Tillman about 4 p.m. and shot him in the back. Police said they had no motive for the shooting.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 2100 block of Herbert St. reported he was riding his bike in the 1900 block of Baker St. Sunday night when several youths knocked him off the bike and stole it. Police said the bike was valued at nearly $100 and the victim was not injured.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a man and were holding him at the station pending charges that he pointed a handgun at a female acquaintance during an argument and threatened to shoot her. The victim, a resident of the 2800 block of Belmont Ave., said the incident occurred in her house late Monday night. The man was arrested at the scene. Police said the woman was not injured.

SHOOTING: Western District -- A resident of the 2200 block of Linden Ave. was listed in good condition today at an area hospital after being shot Monday. The victim, Darryl Long, told police he was in the 2200 block of Eutaw Place around 10 p.m. when two men attacked him. One of the men pulled out a handgun and shot Mr. Long in the arm and fled.
