As a result of the 1992 congressional redistricting, the county Board of Supervisors of Elections mailed new-voter notification cards to 180,000 registered voters, but only 13,000 of these cards were returned.
More than 2,000 address changes were processed after the primary; however, 11,000 voters remain to be located.
The board is mailing these voters a second notice requesting that they provide the board with their residence address, as well as a mailing address, if necessary.
Failure to respond to this notice results in the removal of the voter's name from the registration roll.
