STILLWATER, OKLA — STILLWATER, Okla. -- Team Florida scored five late runs to come from behind and defeat Team Maryland, 5-2, yesterday in the championship game of the Sun Bel Classic baseball tournament at Oklahoma State University.

Maryland starter Scott Frye gave up only one hit through five innings before Florida rallied for five runs in the bottom of the sixth.

"It was a great game. We were four outs away from the championship," said Maryland coach Roger Wrenn. "I could not be prouder of what Maryland accomplished."

Team Maryland players Mike Leatherman, John Bowles and Kevin Gibbs were named to the all-tournament squad.
