Farr's 83 at Elkridge wins 2nd Senior Women's Cup

Bobby Farr yesterday posted an 83 over her home course, the Elkridge Club, and claimed her second Senior Women's Cup, an annual event conducted by the Women's Golf Association.

Farr had won in 1989 and lost a playoff for the title last year.

Nan Pinkard gave Elkridge another title with her low net of the 92-player field, 66.

Marie Hess of Hillendale CC took the Peterson Plate (60-over), 84; Lila Emory of Elkridge earned the Nelson Pitcher (70-over), 91; and Evelyn Glick of Woodholme CC won the Appling Bowl (80-over), 98.

Overall champion: Bobby Farr, Elkridge, 83. Overall net winner: Nan Pinkard, Elkridge, 66; JoanKay Kent, CC Maryland, 70; Kathy Blandford, Hillendale, 71; Vera Spencer-Strong, Elkridge, 73; Ginny Grem, Hunt Valley, 73.
