Baltimore City

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 2600 block of Shirley Ave. in northwest Baltimore reported he was driving in the 1900 block of W. Lombard St. early yesterday when he stopped at a red light. The victim told police that before the light turned green, a man armed with a handgun ordered him out of the car. Police said the victim complied and the gunman drove off. Police said the value of the car was not known.

RAPE: Southwestern District -- Police said a woman reported that after accepting a ride with a man early Wednesday, she was driven to the 200 block of Font Hill Ave. There, the woman reported, the man forced her down onto the front seat and raped her. After the attack, the woman told police, the man ordered her out of the car and drove off. The woman was treated at the University of Maryland Maryland Center and released.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 3600 block of Coolidge Ave. reported someone broke into his home yesterday and stole property valued at more than $1,000.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Police said property valued at more than $2,000 was stolen from a home in the 900 block of N. Rosedale St. this week after someone gained entry through a rear window..

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Police said a clothes washer, clothes dryer and three bicycles were stolen from a dwelling in the 2000 block of Wilkens Ave. after someone forced a rear door between Wednesday night and yesterday afternoon. Police said the property was valued at more than $2,500.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- An employee of Dollar Bills, in the Westside Shopping Center in the 2400 block of Frederick Ave., said a man armed with a handgun entered the business around 8 p.m. yesterday and demanded the contents of the cash register. Police said the employee gave more than $100 to the gunman, who fled on foot.

RAPE: Northeastern District -- Police today were continuing their search for a man suspected of raping a 12-year-old girl inside a house on Tivoly Avenue. Police said the suspect is believed to be a relative of the girl, who was treated at an area hospital and released.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 2700 block of The Alameda reported someone broke into her home through a kitchen window early yesterday and stole a 13-inch TV set. Police said the property was valued at nearly $200.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A 13-year-old resident of the 3100 block of Mareco Ave. reported she was walking near her home around 9 a.m. yesterday when she was stopped by a teen-age male who ordered her to give up her money while implying he was armed with a handgun. Police said the girl gave up $4 to the boy, who fled on foot. Police said no weapon was displayed during her robbery and that the girl was not injured.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Police reported that a multi-speed mountain bicycle was stolen out of a car Wednesday night or yesterday morning while the vehicle was parked in the 6200 block of Carter Ave. The owner of the bike, also a resident of the 6200 block of Carter Ave., told police it was valued at $700.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 6000 block of Amberwood Road reported that someone entered his home yesterday morning and stole $300 from the bedroom. Police said a suspect is being sought.

CUTTING/ARRESTS: Western District -- A resident of the 1100 block of N. Carrollton Ave. reported he was inside a house in the 2800 block of W. Lanvale St. shortly before 2 a.m. yesterday when he was attacked by two men and two teen-age boys who beat him with their fists. Police said one attacker cut the victim with a knife. Police said he treated at the scene for a minor injury and released. Arrested and charged with assault by cutting were Grant and Kenneth Jones, brothers who live in the house in which the attack occurred. Police said the Jones brothers were held overnight at the station's lockup on $10,000 bail each pending a bail review hearing today before a District Court judge. Police said the two teens were charged as juveniles with assault and released into the custody of their parents.

SHOOTING: Western District -- Police said a resident of the 2700 block of W. Fairmount Ave. was shot in the back and face Wednesday night during an altercation in the 2700 block of Presbury St. Police said the victim was fighting with another man shortly before 11 p.m. Wednesday when the other man pulled out a silver-plated handgun and shot him in the face and back. Police said the gunman escaped. The victim was in serious condition today at Maryland Shock-Trauma Center.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Officials of Calverton Middle School in the 1100 block of Whittier Ave. reported that someone broke into the school through a ground-level window Wednesday night or yesterday morning and stole two console telephones. Police said the telephones were valued at $400.
