Brooklyn Park man faces drug charges
A Brooklyn Park man was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana after narcotics detectives searched his home Wednesday morning.
According to the police report, detectives received a tip that Mark Edward Davis, 27, of the unit block of W. First Ave., was selling marijuana from his home.
Police say they searched his home and a rented car he was driving and seized $1,650 worth of marijuana and a small amount of parsley laced with PCP.
L Davis also was charged with possession of marijuana and PCP.
Laurel man robbed of $1,200 in park
A Laurel man was robbed of $1,200 Wednesday while he was in a county park on Whiskey Bottom Road, police said.
Officers said the man was in the park at about 9:42 p.m. when a gunman walked up to him and demanded money.
The gunman took $1,200 and ordered the 38-year-old man to lie on the front seat of his car. He fired one shot into the air and left.
Police gave no description of the robber.
