Surplus food being distributed to needy in Baltimore County 7 sites listed, with eligibility tied to ZIP code.

Baltimore County and the Community Assistance Network will be distributing federal surplus foods today through June 26. Butter, flour, peanut butter, canned pork, raisins and canned tomatoes will be among the foodstuffs distributed.

Distribution sites will open at 8:30 a.m. Closing time will be determined on the day of distribution. The Parkton American Legion Post will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Recipients must be county residents and must receive their food at the site that services their postal ZIP code. There will be one distribution per family.

Recipients must have a current Surplus Food identification card. Those who have not previously registered for the card must bring documented proof of income.

Proof of household size and current ZIP code also will be required if the recipients have not previously registered.

Distribution dates and sites are:

* Today -- Knights of Columbus Hall, 1707 Eastern Blvd., Essex, serving the 21221 ZIP code.

* Tomorrow -- Victory Villa Community Center, 404 Compass Road, Middle River. Serving ZIP codes 21021, 21027, 21085, 21162, 21220 and 21237.

* June 22 -- Hiss United Methodist Church, 8700 Harford Road, Parkville. ZIP codes served include 21013, 21030, 21031, 21051, 21057, 21082, 21087, 21092, 21093, 21128, 21131, 21139,

21153, 21156, 21204, 21206, 21212, 21234, 21236 and 21239.

* June 24 -- St. Clement Church, Washington and Second avenues, Lansdowne. ZIP codes 21225 and 21227.

* June 25 -- Liberty Family Resource Center, Liberty Road and Brenbrook Drive, Randallstown. ZIP codes 21133, 21163, 21207 and 21215.

* June 26 -- Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 10911 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills. ZIP codes 21020, 21022, 21023, 21055, 21071, 21107, 21117, 21136, 21208 and 21209.

* June 26 -- Parkton American Legion Post 256, 19520 York Road, Parkton. ZIP codes 21053, 21074, 21088, 21105, 21107, 21111, 21120, 21152, 21155 and 21161.
