Christopher A. DeVito

Christopher A. DeVito, a pilot for Jet Charter Group Inc. in Georgetown, Del., who had been a real estate agent in Ocean City, was killed Friday when the Lear jet in which he was a co-pilot crashed on takeoff at the Sheboygan County Airport in Sheboygan, Wis. The pilot was also killed.

A Mass of Christian burial for Mr. DeVito, who was 37 and lived in Ocean City, was offered yesterday at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church in the seaside resort.

Mr. DeVito had been a pilot with the company, formerly Delmarva Aircraft, for three years. Between 1984 and 1989, he was a partner in DeVito Brothers Real Estate in Ocean City.

Born in Washington, he was a graduate of St. John's College High School there and attended the University of Maryland.

Mr. DeVito also was a member of the Greater Ocean City Board of Realtors, the National and Maryland Associations of Realtors, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the Alpha Eta Rho aviation fraternity, and the National Association of Flight Instructors.

He is survived by his parents, Samuel and Rosemary DeVito, and his brother, Michael P. DeVito, all of Ocean City.
