Union Bridge resident Howard Williams got his first-ever semi-late victory at Lincoln Speedway in Hanover, Pa., last weekend.

Williams' June 6 win wasn't the only one for area drivers.

Jeff Shepard of Upperco placed second in the super sprint feature and Randy Zechman of Westminster was fourth in the semi-late feature behind Williams.

* Cris Eash, a Hanover, Pa., resident formerly of Woodbine, made it three wins out of the last four attempts at Selinsgrove (Pa.) Speedway June 6. Eash also was fourth in the super sprint last Sunday at Susquehanna Speedway.

* Gary Stuhler of Westminster was forced into the pits on a caution lap, causing him to lose the lead at Hagerstown Speedway in the 35-lap late-model feature June 6. Stuhler had to settle for fourth in the second late-model feature after being held off in the final three laps by Les Hare. Charlie Schaffer, Hampstead, was fifth in the 35-lap late-model and ninth in the 20-lap second feature. Paul Crowl, Upperco, was eighth in the 35-lap feature and the 20-lap feature. In the limited late-model feature, Mike Harrison, Mount Airy, was fourth at Hagerstown.

* Brian Fandell of Mount Airy won the motorcycle class at the Mason Dixon Dragway in Hagerstown on Sunday. Fandell ran 11.18 seconds on an estimated dial-in of 11.10 on his 1975 Kawasaki. George Hoff, Westminster, made it to the quarterfinals in his 1966 Ford Fairlane with an 13.65 elapsed time an identical 13.65 dial-in.
