Teen drinking party ends with 11 arrests

County police charged 11 people with possession of alcohol when they interrupted a beer party outside Ferndale Elementary School on Monday.

According to the police report, officers were on patrol in the area when they saw about 20 teen-agers drinking beer.

Eight adults charged on a citation were: Sean Patrick Truslow, 19; John Joseph Disney, 19; William Theodore Tate, 19; David Michael Hupp, 18; Eugene Michael Schwoerer, 18; Noelle Renee Green, 20; Brenda Lee Deemer, 19, and Timothy Owen Takovich, 18.

Three juveniles also were charged on citations, police said.

Ames shopper charged with theft

A 22-year-old Annapolis man was charged with theft Wednesday after he allegedly concealed a car audio component under his shirt and tried to leave an Ames department store, police said.

Nicolas Umana, of the 200 block of Farragut Court, was arrested at 4 p.m.
