Anita Smith Hamilton, a native Baltimorean who operated interior design and antiques businesses in Naples, Fla., died there April 13, victim of a murder. She was 48.
The Glen Burnie High School graduate's marriage at age 16 to Frank Smith of Baltimore ended in divorce eight years later. She met Gerald Hamilton when they were sales persons at Montgomery Ward & Co. and they married in 1968.
The couple lived for the past 10 years in Naples, where they at first owned an interior decorating business, making their own fabric designs. They sold that business to open the antiques shop.
