Steven J. Puls, a 1991 graduate of Cardinal Gibbons School, died Saturday in Inverness, Fla., where he was visiting, when the motorcycle on which he was riding skidded into a curb and hit a tree.
A Mass of Christian burial for Mr. Puls, 18, was being offered today at St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church, 2700 Washington Ave., Lansdowne.
The Morrell Park resident was scheduled to be inducted into the Army July 28.
Mr. Puls is survived by his mother, Barbara Bendermeyer of Morrell Park; his father, George Puls of Ellicott City; his stepfather, Edward L. Bendermeyer of Morrell Park; his stepmother, Patricia Puls of Ellicott City; a sister, Jennifer Puls of Morrell Park; a stepsister, Jennifer Bendermeyer of Ellicott City; two stepbrothers, C. J. Wolford II of Ellicott City and Charles Dwyer of Baltimore; his grandparents, Gloria and James Hogarty Sr. of Brooklyn Park and Eileen Puls of Catonsville; and his great grandparents, Molly and William Espey of Catonsville.
