This is a weekly summary of selected prime contracts recently awarded by the federal government to companies and other vendors in Maryland.

Maryland contracts

Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Linthicum won an $8,800,000 contract from the Air Force for an extension of the contract for AN/APG-68 fire control radar for the F-16 aircraft.

Fairchild Defense in Germantown won a $221,707 contract frothe Air Force to provide Mission Planning System II.

Advanced Technology & Research Corp. in Laurel won $219,565 contract from the Defense Nuclear Agency to update nuclear survivability program management documents.

Defense research contracts

Science Systems Applications in Lanham won a $7,628,141 contract from the Goddard Space Flight Center to develop sensor systems and testing support services.
