The county's health centers are unique because they're owned and maintained by community health associations. The Odenton Health Association has been in existence since 1949, when the center was built.

Over the years, the center always has received community support.

Some of the center's most faithful supporters include the Odenton Kiwanis Club, Nichols Bethel United Methodist Women's Group, Ruptured Duck Society, Epiphany Episcopal Church Guild and Anne Arundel County Beverage Association.

Many activities take place at this center, including clinics and meetings.

Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and Weight Watchers meet there. So do churches and the WIC Program.

Donations are always welcome. They may be sent to the Odenton Health Association, 1370 Odenton Road, Odenton, 21113.
