Columbia Festival of the Arts seeks volunteers for the 10-day festival from June 24 to July 3 when music, theater, dance and visual arts, classes, workshops and performances are presented at several locations in Columbia. Maryland General Hospital wants volunteers to help with patient-related activities such as Patient Escort Service, working with patients on in-patient floors and in the recently opened Rehabilitation Center, in the emergency room and for office work. For more information, call 225-8477.

Walters Art Gallery wants volunteers for its museum store from 1 to 4:30 p.m. or 1:30 to 5 p.m. every other Sunday. For details, call Judy Hurlock, (410) 547-9000, Ext. 209.

Rosedale Recreation and Parks Council wants volunteers for a variety of summer recreation programs, including playgrounds, tennis, nature and summer camp. Call Bob McClelland, 887-0294.
