Baltimore City

ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- A woman about to enter her home in the 3300 block of Ravenwood Ave. was accosted Saturday night by a man she knows. Police said the man, an ex-boarder in the house, knocked the woman to the ground and then pulled out a handgun. Police said the man fired one shot from a .38-caliber handgun but missed hitting the woman. The man fled.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 3700 block of Rexmere Road reported that someone stole his 40-foot aluminum ladder that he had stored at a neighbor's house. Police said the ladder was valued at $300 and that the thief cut a chain used to secure the ladder to the neighbor's house.

ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- A teen-ager from the 1900 block of E. 31st St. was injured last night during an argument with another teen-ager in the 2600 block of Harford Road. Police said the youth was hit on the head with either a length of wood or a metal pipe. He was treated for cuts at Union Memorial Hospital and released. After arriving home, the victim discovered his wallet was missing.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A 52-year-old resident of the first block of Bramble Lane was robbed of $50 as he got into his car in the 3000 block of E. Northern Parkway early yesterday. Two men assaulted him and took the money, police said.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 6100 block of Fairdel Ave. was hit in the face and a $30, 10-inch buck knife he owned was taken yesterday by a man he knew, police said. The victim's nose was broken in the assault. Police said the victim knew his assailant.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Two white wicker chairs and a table were stolen from the front porch of a home in the 3000 block of Chesley Ave. over the weekend.

ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- Lamont Morgan, of the 1100 block of Elbank Road, was stabbed in the back about 2 p.m. yesterday by a woman he was arguing with in the 1200 block of Linworth Ave., police said. Mr. Morgan was admitted to a hospital, where he was in satisfactory condition today. His assailant escaped.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A 14-year-old resident of the 4800 block of Lorelly Ave. was walking near his home when he was robbed at gunpoint of his $40 jacket yesterday morning by two men driving a Chevrolet Blazer. Police said the vehicle had been reported stolen a few minutes earlier.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 4800 block of Greencrest Road reported that someone broke into his home through a basement door yesterday and stole property valued at nearly $2,000. Police said the intruder escaped with a purse containing two payroll checks, an ATM card and cash. Also taken were two computer games, a 19-inch TV, a VCR and 13 computer game tapes.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Police said someone climbed onto an apartment balcony in the 5600 block of Sinclair Lane over the weekend and stole a 16-inch bike worth $100 after cutting a security chain attached to it.

ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 5900 block of Relcrest Road told police he was in the 5500 block of Frankford Ave. Saturday night when he was approached by a teen-age male he knows who pulled out a brass knuckles-knife and attempted to stab him. Police said the victim was not hurt, but was chased before the armed youth fled the scene.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Police reported a resident of the 3800 block of Yolando Road was walking near her home around 11 p.m. Saturday when she was approached from the rear by a man who stole her $100 purse and $50 inside it.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- After breaking the front glass door, someone stole an unknown number of cartons of cigarettes early yesterday from the Rite Aid pharmacy in the 5600 block of The Alameda.

BURGLARY/ARREST: Northern District -- Police responding to a burglary in progress at the Union Station Tavern in the 1600 block of Union Ave. around 5 a.m. yesterday arrested a man inside the building. Police said that entry was gained by breaking out the window of a side door and that the man had three six-packs of beer in his possession when officers arrested him.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the first block of Shasta Circle in the Owings Mills section of Baltimore County reported he was in the 2700 block of Boone St. around 6 a.m. Friday when he was accosted by four men, one armed with a handgun, who ordered him to give up his money and valuables. Police said the gunman and his accomplices escaped with cash and property, all valued at more than $500.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Police today were seeking a 39-year-old man in connection with the assault and robbery early yesterday of a woman inside the man's house in the 1900 block of Riggs Ave. The victim, a resident of the 1000 block of N. Monroe St., said the man robbed her of nearly $100 and hit her in the face about 1 a.m. Sunday.
