Accomplishments: Earned three varsity letters in track and field, captain of the track and field team, region champion in the shot put last year, earned two varsity letters in football

Recipient's comments: "I just go out and throw the best I can. It's better to throw against tough competition, but if its not there, I just try to break my personal records. The whole coaching staff, particularly Coach [Shirl] Dorsey, has been great and really helped me out a lot. I'm attending Western Maryland next fall to play football and track.
